Machine Care Guide
Take Care of Your Machine. Make It Last Longer.
At Smart Khareedar, we want you to enjoy your machine for as long as possible. Proper usage, regular care, and avoiding unnecessary stress on the motor can significantly improve the performance, reliability, and lifespan of your machine.
Whether you are using a kitchen machine, chopper, blender, grinder, juicer, or another motor-powered appliance, follow these simple care instructions.
1. A Little Smell on First Use? Don't Worry.
If your machine has a 100% copper motor, you may notice a slight smell during the first few uses.
This can happen because the motor and its internal components are new and may produce a temporary odor as they warm up during initial operation.
What should you do?
Simply use the machine normally and allow it to cool between uses. The smell should gradually disappear after the initial uses.
However: if you notice a strong burning smell, smoke, sparks, unusual noise, or excessive heating, switch the machine off immediately and stop using it.
2. Don't Continuously Hold the Button
One of the most important things you can do to protect your machine is to avoid continuously pressing the operating button for long periods.
Continuous operation makes the motor heat up. As the motor becomes hot, the heat can transfer to the body of the machine.
Many machines have built-in overheating protection. If the temperature becomes too high, the machine may automatically stop working temporarily.
Don't panic!
If this happens:
Switch it off → Allow it to cool → Use it again once it has cooled down.
This is a protective feature and does not necessarily mean that your machine has developed a fault.
3. Use the Machine Gradually
For better motor performance and longer machine life, we recommend using the machine in short intervals rather than continuously.
Example:
If your task normally takes around 2 minutes, don't continuously hold the button for the entire 2 minutes.
Instead, use the machine in short intervals such as:
10 seconds ON → 2–3 seconds REST → 10 seconds ON → 2–3 seconds REST
Continue this pattern until the job is complete.
This gives the motor small cooling periods and helps reduce unnecessary heat buildup.
Short intervals = Less heat = Better motor life
4. NEVER Wash the Motor
Water + Motor = Damage
In most motor-powered machines, the motor unit must not be washed or immersed in water.
Do not:
-
Put the motor unit under running water
-
Submerge the motor in water
-
Pour water directly onto the motor
-
Allow water to enter the motor housing
-
Operate the machine while the motor unit is wet
Water entering the motor or electrical components can cause short circuits, electrical damage, rust, or complete motor failure.
How to Clean It
Disconnect the machine from the power supply and clean the motor body using a slightly damp cloth, then wipe it dry.
Only wash removable accessories and components that are specifically designed to be washable.
5. Don't Overload the Machine
Every machine has a practical working capacity.
Avoid filling the container beyond its recommended capacity or putting an excessive amount of hard or heavy material inside at once.
Overloading puts additional pressure on the motor and can cause:
-
Excessive heating
-
Slower performance
-
Motor strain
-
Unusual sounds
-
Reduced motor life
Smart Tip
If you have a large quantity to process, divide it into smaller batches.
6. Don't Force the Machine
If the blades or motor are struggling to rotate, don't keep pressing the button.
Switch the machine off and check:
-
Is the machine overloaded?
-
Is something stuck in the blade?
-
Is the material too hard?
-
Is the attachment correctly installed?
Remove the obstruction only after disconnecting the machine from the power supply.
7. Give the Machine a Cooling Break
If you have been using the machine repeatedly, allow it to rest for a few minutes.
This is especially important when:
-
Processing hard ingredients
-
Running multiple batches
-
Using the machine for extended periods
-
The machine body feels noticeably warm
A small cooling break can help prevent unnecessary motor stress.
8. Use the Correct Voltage & Power Supply
Always use the machine with the voltage and electrical supply specified for that particular model.
Avoid using unsuitable voltage converters, damaged sockets, loose connections, or questionable electrical supplies.
If your machine is designed for a specific voltage, do not connect it to an incompatible power source.
9. Avoid Damaged Plugs, Wires & Breakers
Never use a machine if:
-
The power cord is damaged
-
The plug is broken
-
The wire is exposed
-
The socket is loose or damaged
-
You notice sparks from the plug or socket
-
Your electrical breaker repeatedly trips when using the machine
If your breaker is repeatedly tripping, stop using the machine and have the electrical supply or appliance checked by a qualified professional.
Do not repeatedly switch a tripping breaker back on just to continue using the machine.
10. Keep the Machine Dry
After cleaning, make sure the machine and its electrical components are completely dry before use.
Never operate an electrical appliance with wet hands or when the motor unit is wet.
11. Don't Operate the Machine Empty
Where applicable, avoid running blades or grinding mechanisms without anything to process.
Running the machine empty unnecessarily can create additional stress and may reduce the life of certain components.
Always follow the specific instructions provided with your machine.
12. Use the Right Attachment
Always use the correct blade, jar, attachment, or accessory designed for your machine.
Make sure the attachment is properly fitted and securely locked before switching the machine on.
Never attempt to operate the machine if an attachment is loose or incorrectly positioned.
13. Store It Properly
After use:
-
Switch off the machine.
-
Unplug it from the power supply.
-
Clean the removable components.
-
Dry everything properly.
-
Store the machine in a clean and dry place.
-
Keep it away from excessive moisture and heat.
Proper storage helps protect the machine from dust, moisture, corrosion, and accidental damage.
14. Never Repair the Motor Yourself
If the machine develops a serious electrical or motor-related problem, do not open the motor housing yourself.
Unauthorized repairs can be dangerous and may also affect your warranty.
If your product is covered by a local or international warranty, contact Smart Khareedar or the relevant warranty provider for assistance.
