I recently purchased the Silver Crest ZK-9090 Travel Steam Iron and used it for the first time today. I am very satisfied with its performance.
The steam function works well and the iron heats up quickly. I also tested it on my solar system. When the thermostat turns ON, the power consumption goes close to 1 kW, and when the thermostat switches OFF, the load comes back down to around 400–500 watts. During the test, I had the refrigerator switched OFF, while two ceiling fans and a 12V air cooler were running.
For a compact 900–1100W steam iron, its performance is very good. The build and design are also impressive for the price.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the product and would recommend it.
